Frametastic

Have you thought about putting your edible photo on an edible frame on your wedding cake? Or birthday cake? Or whatever cake you can think of?
Well...this is how it will look like.

This delicate frame is made from royal icing...I am sure some of your relatives or friends would be happy to munch you...ha,ha,ha!
Such a tedious process but the outcome is mind blowing! This particular piece was done during my three day workshop at The Dessert Table, Mutiara Damansara under the coaching of Puan Farida.

“THE CURIOUS CASE of Pink and Green BUTTONS”

30 April 2011

Luckily the pastels pink and green buttons did not gets smaller….they stayed cute and sweet.

Had to use my imagination and whatever tools I have to create different button styles. My daughter helped me making these buttons…ha..ha…my hired ‘in-house’ helper! Hey…she got paid you know.

Photo on the left is taken by my son using his Canon EOS1000D whereas the one on the right by me, of course using my compact Sony camera.

Rose Garden 2

7 December 2009

A wedding cake for my niece...made especially for her. It was such a coincidence that she chosed the one that I've been wanting to do. Simple but eye-catching! It's from Peggy Porschen's book..Romantic Cakes.
In the book it is 3 tier with the bottom cake 10" ( with cerise pink & dark pink roses ) but I have to modify because she's gonna 'drive' the cake up north a few days before the wedding. So, a 2 tier cake with base cake 12", with red & pink roses. Have a look & tell me what you think.
